Trying to reassemble the hood latching arrangement on my 48 F-1, and getting stumped by how the spring works on the hood release arm. There is a two legged spring that gets mounted on the 5/16" diameter pivot shaft that serves to keep the crossbar pushed out into its normal position. Have tried a number of arrangements and getting frustrated. anyone shed any light on how this is supposed to go together? Thanks, John Wells
