Topic: 1946 Mercury speedometer

Hi again! A while back, I had my speedometer out to inspect a non-working odometer. No luck "mending" that problem. After installing, the speedometer was showing running "correct" at 30 mph using a GPS. Higher speeds and the needle hardly budged. Have oiled the unit where applicable. Tried adjusting the arm, but to no avail. My mechanic implied I would probably need to get it "magnetized" again?...who in the U.S. does professional and reliable repairs on these old Walthams? Thank you! Peder

Bob's Speedometer Service has a good reputation.

Have you looked for a speedometer service in your country? You may be able to find one closer to home and it would be more reasonable than shipping half way across the world.
