Is a 40 merc frame the same as a 40 ford? I would like to put a 40 ford dual exhaust system that i have on a 40 merc. Would all the pipes fit? Thank you all.

No the 40 Merc frame is very different than the 40 Ford. The right side muffler inlet pipe may work if it is long enough, the tail pipes will be 4" too short and the left side muffler inlet will probably have to be rebent if it is long enough. Your best bet is to have a muffler shop bend and fit new pipes. The left muffler inlet pipe can be a max of 1 1/2" diameter as it has to be bent around the pedal assembly and not hit the brake and fuel lines. Tom
