Did they make a coupe sh*ll , a Tudor, sh*ll , and a sedan sh*ll, as Ford did ? 1950. People advertise coupes and Tudor sedans but are they all the same sh*lls ? Thanks Dale Watson

Mercury dropped the Tudor sedan for 1950 and sold 3 coupes, a 4 door, convertible and a Tudor station wagon. Tom

The six passenger coupes were all on the same body but they had three levels of furnishings. The standard 72A had fixed quarter windows and plain jane floor mats. The 72B was a more deluxe model with wing vent type rear quarter windows and higher levels of trim. The 72C was the Monterey with the highest level of trim. The 1950 72C models are relatively rare. If you look only at the floor and dash components, all of the model 72 Coupes, 74 Sport Sedans, & the 76 convertibles have the same basic floor and cowl/dash section.
