I would like to install a new headlight wiring harness from the column switch forward in my 39 Mercury. I have the new harness but have never removed the horn button or switch on the steering column. Any diagrams or advice from someone who has done this would be great. Thanks, Steve (39 Mercury)

Steve, I don't think that you have to remove the horn button to replace the light harness. To remove the switch just push the bail to one side and carefully slide the switch out. I would have my digital camera ready to take some photos so you can re-install it in the correct position. Tom
