I am new to your Forum, congrats to all. I am installing a '47 Mercury 59A into my '34 Ford. What do I need to do to make the motor mounts work? I don't want to do any welding on the frame if possible. Thanks to all in advance!

If you are using the original transmission, use the stock mount. If not, some adaptation will be necessary.

Thank you Supereal. Need to research this more, the mounting hole are off about 1-1/2". I am using the original trans and was hoping someone made a bracket that would make the connection.

You will need Bob Drake's motor mount adapters to raise the front of the engine.

Also you might want to review the post on the the "Clutch pressure plate Clearance 33 trans" The centrifical weights on the 6 bolt pressure plate may strike the inside of the transmission bell housing.

You might post this in the General Ford discussion, as more people read that forum.
