A friend (still on dial up-2 slow for forum) is looking for the original patterns (either pictures or literature) to accurately restore his great 53 Merc. He has gotten close to a Dearborn (first place at Batavia NY) and would like to insure proper interior work after finishing correct paint work this winter. Thanks for any help you may provide.

Is the car a 2dr sedan or a sport coupe? is it a Custom or a Monterey? I will look in some of my sales literature for interior drawings. Tom

I looked through all my 1953 material and could not find any information on the Custom Sport Coupe interior. Did you try the 53 Mercury Advisor? Tom

SMS Auto Fabrics, Canby , Oregon, Telephone No. 503 263 -3535 can probably supply not only the original fabric but also the correct sewing patterns for your car. I had great success with this company on redoing a 1951 Licoln Lido. Tracker
