I have a 1973 Mercury Capri that I am restoring. I need a gas tank. (located in trunk) Does anybody have one or know where I can purchase one? thanks in advance! Ron

Ron: This is prolly not the best site for your quest, but have you searched: http://www.automotix.net/partshotline-mercury-capri-fuel_tank-requests.html ? This is a used parts hotline that I use when looking for non-early Ford stuff.

Used gas tanks are difficult to find for any car, but the German made Capri parts were hard to get when they were fairly new. In 1978, I had to wait 3 months to get the muffler hanger for my 1974 V-6. When the fuel pump went out, the local Mercury dealer said he could not get one. I finally bought one at Beck Arnley.
