As my next project, I plan to install a new clutch pressure plate, disc and throwout bearing. The car is developing a very slight chatter when starting out in low gear and reverse. I checked the mounts first but I fear that age/ 50,000 miles may be the problem In checking the Mercury shop manual, I cannot find anywhere the size of the disc or if a 49-50-51 disc and pressure plate are all the same. Looking in the parts suppliers Listings, it appears that there are different choices depending upon the car. This car is a 76B Convertible, 3 speed trans w/od. Can anyone comment on this ? I want to start accumulating the parts now but need some guidance please. Thanks as always
