I have an 8BA engine that was being built for performance but I will not use it that way. It has a 4" crank, bored to 4-3/8" and has a 400 JR cam. I am putting on a stock intake and stock heads. Which model carb would be best, a model 94 or a 97. I also need to do something about a distributor. thanks al

Use a Holley/Ford Model 94 carburetor which has the venturi vacuum port. Use the stock distributor which is compatible with the 94 carburetor. This distributor has only a vacuum advance system and must be used with the stock type carburetor to provide the proper spark advance curve. If you intend to drive the car on the street, a vacuum advance system will provide better fuel economy than a mechanical advance will.
