What was the color of a Canadian made 46 Monarch ( Mercury in the US) station wagon steering wheel. I think is black with the SS inserts on the two spoke, versus the tan used in the US. Thanks, Bill Large

Bill, I don't know for sure, but in looking at photos on the internet, the steering wheel looks more like a dark brown to me. After all these years it is hard to tell exactly what colors were original, because I see silver and red steering wheels on some of the photos posted. https://www.flickr.com/photos/carphotosbyrichard/50320751048/in/gallery-50312897@N02-72157688756218394/ I hope that someone with better knowledge of the Monarch offerings can give you a more definitive answer.
