I have a manifold which came [in the trunk] with my '49 Merc coupe. The numbers are 8AB 8RT 6520 I believe it would work on my car, but I don't need it. What does it actually go on? Sorry I don't have the reference. Thanks, Don

That is the 49-53 Ford intake manifold. The Mercury intake manifold is 1CM-9424 with different suffix depending upon the choke type. Tom

The 8CM part number is correct for the 49 Merc, the number that I gave is the replacement number. Tom

That's a relief! I'm glad I have the correct one, renews my faith that my car is a good old original car. Thanks, Don
