Anyone interested in a 1950 Lincoln 337 engine. It was professionally rebuilt a few years ago, painted green and stored ever since. Just looked at it. The guy that owns it wants it gone this weekend. He paid $10,000.00 to rebuild it. Probably get it for $2500 if anyone is interested.

I've seen too many "professional" rebuilds that were mostly a fresh coat of paint, and little else. Anyone who pays ten grand for the job, and doesn't start it, either was foolish, or is trying to blow smoke (no pun) at potential buyers. Never buy a non-running engine without pulling the oilpan and heads.

I saw the receipt. The engine was rebuilt by a very reputable truck engine rebuilder. I considered buying it and using it in a project. Pretty hard getting water pumps, etc. This engine has the intake on it but no water pumps, starter etc. It is also longer and wider than a 239.

...And just a few pounds heavier!

It's located in Langley B.C. about 10 miles north of Blaine, Washington. The guy who is selling it is Bill, 604-314-5979.

I purchased a pair of NOS Lincoln water pumps one month ago on EBay.
Parts are out there, just have to look a bit harder.

Here is the 337 I bought a few months back from a guy in Anaheim CA who bought it from a larger Orange Orchard Famer who had it hooked up to large fans he would use on the trees when freeze would come in.

---

Other than take it apart to clean and paint, and run a electric fuel pump, I am basically going to leave it alone. Going to put it in my 47 Pickup.
