What is the correct paint color for the hood support brackets and springs on a 1940 Ford Deluxe. Thank you!

The hood support assemblies are black regardless of body color. The hood supports were installed after the body was painted. Thus, always black. The hinges are body color as are the fasteners and safety wire that attach them to the hood. The hinges were fastened to the hood prior to painting. Thus - body color. Mike Kubarth
