Can just the window channel anti-rattler be replaced without removing the vent window assembly.My vent window rubber is in good shape and fits good and don't need replacing.I think the vent windows rubbers were replaced at some time and they appear to have small screws for mounting.Were the vent window frames actually mounted with rivets from factory.This on a 40 coupe.

Your vent window is part of the garnish molding. When you remove the garnish the vent window comes out with it on a '40.The vent window upper pivot is in fact riveted to the bracket on the garnish molding. The vent window rubber is also riveted at the top and bottom of the garnish. The best option is to remove the garnish and then replace the felt glass run.
