I presently have two 91-99 carbs with the intent to rebuild for concourse judging. During my inspection I have noted that three of the air horn to float body screw are stripped out. Is there...or has anyone used a repair method with good results (ie: heli-coils etc)? Or...can someone direct me to a top notch rebuilder who can fix this problem and do a high level rebuild...all comments welcome

3 out of 5 are stripped out. I would retap OS to 12x24 all of them so they would match. These would be the same size as 2 of the 3 screws that hold the middle to the cast iron base.I could do this at no cost to you as part of a carb rebuild by me. Presently charging $175 for a major rebuild with all USA made kits and garenteed. ken ct. email or cell 1-203-260-5945 or PM.
