I noticed that the dash light dimmer is missing.It does not look like no wires are there for it?Is the dimmer suppose to mount beside the light switch.I see one wire connection that may be the one where the dimmer was bypassed.Does this happen a lot?How many holes are needed to mount this dimmer switch?

There are 3 holes for the dash light dimmer, 2 for the mounting screws and 1 for the knob. Here is a link to the reproduction switch. http://dennis-carpenter.com/search.aspx?ss=dash+light+dimmer&d=2&tab=cars There should be a black and blue wire coming from the light switch to the dimmer control and a blue and red wire going from the control to the lights.
