My recently purchased '40 Ford Convertible has two straps hanging on either side of the rear window. The bottom straps with the buckle are not attached. My question is where do these bottom straps attach and what fastener is used to hold these bottom straps? As always, my thanks to those who answer this post.

The bottom straps were intended to be stapled in to the rear tack strip prior to the top being installed. Mike "Kube" Kubarth
