Mike, someone asked how to install the rubber grommets around the horns on the 40. I was told by C and G that the only way was to cut them, but we'd like a definitive answer from an authoritative source--you. Bill

Bill, I hate to admit it, but the only way I have found is to do as C&G advised - cut them. I do so through the 'slot" that will end up going over the crimp in the trumpet. After it's in place, I put a very small amount of rubber adhesive and bind the two ends together. It's things like this that make me wonder how Ford did it back in the day. Further, it makes me wonder WHY Ford did it... Kind regards, Mike
