Topic: Hot water heater

  Hello,
I have a 40 Tudor that I plan on installing an original hot water
Heater in.The car has never had a heater in it. I have a template
That I got off the club forum. From the looks of the template and other cars that I have seen it looks like the the pass. side hose
Will be right over the hole for the wire clip hole. Was this hole lowered when the heater was installed originally and would this
be a points deduction if it was lowered enough to clear hose?
Thanks very much for help,
Ronnie

Most likely that clip (screw) hole was eradicated when the heater was installed. There is no (that I know of) documentation that says one way or the other.
I would suggest you drill a new hole for the clip(screw) in a sensible place near the heater nipple.

Hot water heaters were most often a dealer installed accessory. There is some variation in design regarding firewall holes. If you have existing holes, try them. If not, be very sure the the new holes permit access to the tubes, or attaching hoses can be difficult or impossible.
