Topic: Firewall Question

I am redoing the firewall on my 1940 Ford Tudor. Where the firewall goes from vertical to leaning back towards inside of car, there are three or four small creases right on the sharpe part of the bend ( end of arrow in picture ). I have seen these on other 40's , but not all. Some I have seen with numbers stamped in them . Are these little creases supposed to be there, are they just dents from things that have hit the firewall, I am fairly new to the club with lots of questions, hope I don't aggrivate to many people. I have the Club's 40 Book. Thanks Ronnie

The dents are from something hitting the metal and are not original to the car.

Probably someone did that during a fuel pump change. From the inside, gently heat the part that needs to go back toward the engine compartment and tap on lightly. Do this on all 3 spots. Alternatively, have someone hold a heavy flat dolly on the outside and tap the spots with a cross peen hammer from the inside.
I had a spot the size of a hardball that was turned inside out right on the peak where all those angels come together that I fixed so those shouldn't be too bad.
