Topic: Temperature Sending Unit/Units - 1940 Ford Coupe

I am getting confused! I have read conflicting accounts as to wether my 1940 Ford Coupe should have One (1) or Two (2) Temperature sending units installed on the engine. One article I read says that until 1941 there was only one Temperature Sending Unit installed on the drivers side. Another article I read says there was a Temperature Sending Unit installed on Both sides. What is the correct answer, One Side or Both? Single post or Double post?

Only 1 on the drivers side head. Single screw in top. The double post one is actually only a switch and is for later cars. Roy Naceowicz sells the correct brass plug for the passenger side head if you don't have a hot water heater, otherwise the shutoff valve goes in this head.

  Thank you for the information.

Dougie, Duece is 100% correct on this. No need to be confused any longer
