Topic: 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery

I removed a pair of metal trim pieces from a sedan delivery that had been made into a pickup truck. The metal pieces were in the interior of what would have been the cargo area and were scr*w*d to the upper part of the wheel well. I am not sure this is an original part or was added some time later for some reason. I checked the body parts book and could not find a part number any idea ????? I have attached a photo.

Yes, they are original. My '41 Sedan Delivery has them too. They hold the cardboard side panels in place over the fender wells. They are also rare, so be sure they go to an appreciative home.

Here's a picture of a trim strip in place. (Note: this interior isn't stock and I don't believe the trim strips were originally plated.)

Can anyone give me the correct part number for the cargo moldings. Thanks

Here are the P/N from the 40 body parts catalog.

01A-7829032 for the right side and 01A-7829033 for the left side. They are held in place by screws P/N 32272-S2 and 32858-S2

This catalog has been reprinted and available from several vendors.
