Topic: Question on switch

I purchased an NOS headlamp switch for my 40 Tudor on eBay. In the photos the spades/pins didn’t look bent. Are they supposed to look like this? If not I think I better bench test it, it looks like a tight squeeze because of the radio speaker. Thank you, Brian

The spades were straight / perpendicular to the body.
Yes, with a radio, it's a tight fit. I assume you know the radio must be removed to replace this switch.
There should be a piece of rubber glued to the edge of the radio body that will press against the lip of the instrument panel once installed. This rubber strip was advised in a service letter sent to dealers back in 1940.

Thank you for the reply. We are greatly blessed to have you on here. I was going to do all of the work on this myself. I crawled under the dash and said nope!! I been a parts guy for 40 years. This job looks like one for my younger technician buddies.
