The lever action shocks on my 1940 V8 Tudor have oil in them by they don't offer any dampening. Can I rebuild these shocks myself (are there parts available) or is there someone out there who can rebuild them for me? Thank you, Gil

Ditto Zeke's comments. Do make sure the shocks are proper for your car before rebuild. You can move the adjuster a minor bit in the CW direction to close the valve and make the movement stiffer if that does not work a rebuild MAY or MAY NOT put the shock back in operation. Andy will contact if there are problems.

I had mine rebuilt about three years ago. I think one of the four still did a little bit of damping. All four had gelled shock fluid around the adjusters. Getting them re-built made a very large difference in the way the car drives (along with new links and new anti-roll links and bushings). It was not cheap, but it was well worth it.
