how does the wiper motor work does vacumn hose come from manifold to switch in center of windshield and then to wiper motor or is their a linkage from the switch to the motor to turn it on if its a hose then i should bypass switch to motor before i remove motor thank you for reply

The vacuum from the intake manifold goes directly to the motor. The switch does have linkage to the motor and moves the motor lever to turn the motor on/off.
