In examining many of these cables most had a rubber jacket covering most of the cable. Is there a source for the correct cable??

Joe's Antique Auto lists one on page 39. Don't know if they are in stock or not. https://www.joesantiqueauto.com ______________ No signature

ALL should have the coating on. I buy rubber vacuum tubing from McMaster-Carr by the roll. It is very thin "wall". Remove one end of the cable housing, spray glass cleaner in the tubing, slide it on the cable, reinstall (crimp) the end back on. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

By any chance could you provide the part number for the tubing from McMaster-Carr?
