As I look at the new 1940 Ford Book, other photos, and some of the videos on YouTube, I think the plastic face on my instrument panel sticks out a bit too far. Were there spacers originally to keep the cluster from protruding from the metal part of the panel? Should the plastic be almost flush with the metal: I am not sure what is correct now.

It sticks out a bit from the instrument panel. The protrusion is limited by the body of the gauge cluster which bottoms against the instrument panel. There were no spacers. Mike "Kube" Kubarth This message was edited by kubes40 on 2-3-21 @ 6:40 AM
