Topic: 6" wide rims for a 1940 ford pickup

I am putting very large tires which requires at least a 6" wide rim, really 8". Would anyone know a year of truck that i can pull 16" wider rims off, but would still look like stock 1940 ford pickup rims and take the same hub cap options?
thanks scott

You may have to have those made up for you. Check with Wheelsmith or Wheel Vintiques. They can make up a 16" to take the stock hubcaps, can give you 6",7" or 8" wide and put special offsets if you need it. Wheels on Ford pickups (15") up through 1966 will take the stock hubcap. The challenge will be finding the 16" in those years to fit your specification.
