Just curious if anyone reproduces the hoses for the oil filter assembly on 40 Ford?Were there ever metal lines that came in the filter kit?Was Fram the only one that made the filter kit?

NO steel lines in 1940. Fram was the supplier to Ford Motor CO. No one reproduces the lines with the authentic appearance. You can have lines made reasonably at any decent hydraulic fitting company. However, they will not have the proper (read: concourse correct) fittings nor line material. If fit and function is your primary concern, a hydraulic fitting company will suit your needs just fine.
