I would like to due a tune up on my 1940 door handles (sagging) & sluggish door lock. Looking for what to change and how. Thanks Tom.

First and foremost (and easiest), replace the spring in the remote (handle) assembly for certain. If that doesn't do the trick, then replace the springs in the door latch mechanism. If you have a convertible, be aware that the long spring sold by the "usual repop" guys advertised for ALL 1940 passenger cars does not in fact work in a convertible. Mike "Kube" Kubarth
