interested in anyone who has installed new stainless in a 40 delux hood that has been leaded or has bondo in the stock holes. Need to replace the side chrome or stainless trim and the front small and large hood trim right at the bottom front of a delux grill. Has is nice paint job. Would like to not hurt the present paint. Have all the chrome or stainless from Drakes. Thanks

If you cannot see the spots where the original holes were drilled on the inside of the hood, your best bet is to find a car that you can measure where the holes were and then remove the paint from the inside of the hood in those areas to find where the original holes were. You can then carefully drill some pilot holes from the inside of the hood and then drill the correct size holes from the outside. Place tape in the area where you are drilling to minimize paint chipping.

In any case you may end up having the hood repainted as there are no guarantees that you will not chip the paint when you drill the holes.
