Mike I was just on the ford barn site, and I saw you post an article about ," The coupe" had a package tray, the seat being hinged at the top for accessing the storage area below the tray. Having previously owned a business coupe for 17 years, and seeing these 39-40 ford coupes at many shows for the last 40 years, you would think that I would know that the seat in a "coupe" hinges forward to access the area below the tray. I have owned my coupe now since Nov.21 2016 and did not know this info till tonight. Tomorrow I going to see what's back their? I am so happy that the possibility of some inside storage exists . Had I not seen this article, I may never have known about this feature. Greenwich Conn. concourse car show today Sat. June 3rd. was unbelievable I spoke with three early v8 members and learned all about Kelsey Hayes early ford accessory wire wheels. If you have the book Illustrated History of Ford by George H. Dammann go to page 109 and you will see" Joan Crawford" poses in her 1934 Deluxe Roadster loaded with accessories, including special steel-spoke wheels with oversize balloon tires. At the show I seen this type of 33-34 roadster with black wall tires, and Kelsey Hayes extra large truck spoke wheels on the back, and Kelsey Hayes car type spoke wheels with black wall tires on the front, and it looked great!
