Founded in San Leandro, California in 1963, our club recognizes all Ford Motor Company vehicles made between 1932 and 1953, including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, commercial vehicles, tractors and other Ford powered vehicles built around the world utilizing the 4, 6, 8, and 12 cylinder engines produced by Ford Motor Company.
Today, as the Marquee Club of our represented vehicles, with membership of over 9,000 and 125 Regional Groups worldwide, we are dedicated to the restoration and preservation of all Ford Motor Company vehicles built between 1932 and 1953.
The club's award-winning, bi-monthly magazine, the V-8 Times, is circulated all over the world and is acclaimed as one of the best car club magazines anywhere. The V-8 Times features technical articles, shop tips, questions and answers by our panel of experts, nostalgia, club and regional group news, offerings of accessories and restoration manuals found nowhere else - plus classified ads for cars and parts.

Meeting was called to order by President Connie Hall at 10:05 am CST
Newly elected directors were announced: Daniel Castellini, California/Southwest 1, Dave Collette, Mid-Atlantic, and Micheal Driskell, Central. New Officers were announced for 2024: Connie Hall, President, Mike Stichter, Vice President, John Emmering, Secretary.
Minutes of the November 4, 2023, Fourth Quarterly Meeting were reviewed and approved.
The financial report by Treasurer Dave Rehor was received and approved. The board will be seeking a candidate to stand by to replace Dave when he feels ready to step down from his office.
Mike Stichter presented a report on social media which was reviewed and approved.
A report on the activities of the Audit Committee was made by committee Chairman Joe Valentino. The report was approved by the board. Due to the need for a new firm to conduct club audits directors voted unanimously to approve a contract with Bonk, Cushman, Eagle and Garcia of San Diego, CA to conduct the audit of 2023 finances.

Eastern National Meet, Clayton, New York September 15-20 sponsored by Mohawk Valley RG#59 and Western New York RG#3.
Membership Update: Treasurer David Rehor reported that membership was at 6,293 at the end of January 2024. Compared to one year ago membership is down 356 or 5.5%. Directors agreed that steps must be taken to recruit new members. A contest was proposed whereby individual members could win EFV8CA publications for recruiting a number of new members into the club. The recruitment contest is still under consideration by the board. Updates to come.
Membership Roster: Due to increasing costs for printing and mailing alternate methods for providing members with a membership roster were discussed by board members. Discussion was held over to the second quarter meeting in May.
V-8 Times: Editor Shannon Olson explained the options available for printing the V-8 Times by the printer, Modern Litho. Directors voted to approve a new printing contract with Modern Litho, providing for a 112-page edition of theV-8 Times magazine.
President’s Call to Regional Group Presidents. President Connie Halls announced her plans to conduct a Zoom meeting with Regional Group President’s on Wednesday March 13th, 2024, at 5:00 pm PDT (7:00 pm Central Time)
Accessory Sales: Candidates for the position of Accessory sales are being interviewed by committee members. A committee is examining the logistics involved in relocating stored books and accessories and the shredding of some unneeded documents. Funding was approved for the move.
Chief Judge and Deputy Chief Judges. Ken Bounds was approved for a three-year term as Chief Judge. Deputy Chief Judges approved were Michael Driskell (East) John McBurney (Central), Steve Lemmons (West) and Rick Claybaugh (Alternate).
Regional Support: Directors were encouraged by President Hall to intercede in regional group problem situations if requested. President Hall asked that directors send Regional Group Handbooks to each regional group president and to check the active status of groups.
International Support: Robert Davis was appointed as International Regional Group Liasson. President Hall revealed her plans to attend the Australian National Meet
Anniversary Certificates: Certificates have gone out in the mail. Directors should receive them soon and be prepared to award them to regional groups that have special anniversaries.
Volunteer Staff Support Personnel: President Hall selected several volunteers to assist the Board of Directors with various functions. They are Michael Polan, Robert Glucksman, Dave Gunnarson, John Caldwell, Jerry Littner, and Les Kotouch.
Newsletter Competition: Regional Group Newsletter Editors are encouraged to enter the 2024 Newsletter Competition. Les Kotouch will be the newsletter judge. You may email a PDF version of your group’s newsletter to him each month for consideration at: Leskotouch78@gmail.com
President Connie Hall thanked all the committee and board members for their contributions and hoped the club could get back to basics in 2024 and have a successful and productive year.
